"As a PGA professional, I have been exposed to a lot of different philosophies concerning the golf swing.  After having met and worked personally with Jon and his concept of a tension free swing, I have been able to learn more about how proper fundamentals and technique can have a long-lasting impact on how to play the game.  I have incorporated Jon's teachings into my own golf game and have been consistently hitting the ball with greater accuracy and greater distance.  I've always been a long hitter of the ball, and was taught in the past that to gain accuracy I would be forced to give up distance.  Under Jon's guidance I am now averaging 320-330 yards off the tee with my driver (up from 300), but more importantly I'm hitting more fairways than ever before!  I've been able to do all of this with a swing that feels easier and puts significantly less strain on my body.

Students can learn a lot from Jon in a very short amount of time without feeling overwhelmed because Jon presents the information in such a way that it's extremely easy to understand.  And oh by the way, he's one heck of a ball striker; it's truly rare to see someone that can practice what he teaches as well as Jon."

"I have been a PGA Class A Professional for over 20 years.  For the last 5 years I have had the opportunity of having Jon Manack help me with my golf swing.  I was a good player in college, and in my senior year at Oklahoma State University in 1980, we won the NCAA Championship.  After playing the mini tours and an unsuccessful attempt at the PGA Tour I decided to become a PGA Member.  I began working as an Assistant Professional and eventually became General Manager/Director of Golf.   After many years of focusing my attention on managing facilities, my golf game has suffered.  Jon Manack has helped me improve my game.  He has such a good eye and understanding of how the body moves and reacts during the golf swing.  Jon is able to explain and demonstrate what he sees and communicates what is actually happening during the golf swing.  Not only has helped me personally, but I have been fortunate to watch and listen as he teaches others which has helped me tremendously with my own students."

"Jon Manack has been a true inspiration for me in my professional golf this year!

As an LPGA Golf Professional who has won the 2003 LPGA Club Professional Championship and have played in (4) LPGA major championships, this is the best ball striking I have had in years and I owe it to Jon Manack.

I have worked with some of the Top 100 Instructors in my career, but it is Jon Manack’s communication skills, knowledge and teaching techniques that have helped me to understand my swing better and hit more consistent shots.  I now have more confidence in my golf game without working hard at it.

Since working with Jon, I came in 2nd place in the 2007 Women’s Colorado Open, 3rd place in the LPGA Club Professional Championship and 2nd place in the LPGA Southeast Section Championship.

Thanks Jon!!  I am proud to have you as my golf coach."

"If you are looking to find out what makes the golf swing work, and more importantly what makes your swing work, I would strongly suggest talking with Jon. I have been associated with Jon over the last couple of years, and my overall performance both mechanically and physically have improved greatly. Soon after working with Jon I shot a 64, and have had several sub par rounds since."

"I recently took early retirement and one of my goals was to focus on my golf game. A friend of mine referred me to Jon Manack and his instruction has been the best teaching experience of my golf life! I am compressing the ball better than ever which has resulted in consistent/better trajectory and more distance. Jon's method has also allowed me to practice as often and as long as I want with none of the low back stiffness that I had experienced in the past! Through the years, I have been fortunate enough to work with top 100 teachers and their schools. Jon's approach has been superior to all of theses experiences! Jon will and should become a household name in the top golf circles in the country!

"I have known Jon since 2001, and he has helped me with my swing and also understanding the fundamentals of a “TENSION FREE” swing.  Set-up position, forearms, knee flex, spine angle and staying in your dynamic posture are just a few fundamentals that Jon helps players with.  More importantly, Jon is not a “method” teacher.  Each person is different and therefore will get a different “prescription” for success, just as you would at your doctor’s office.  As a PGA Professional and custom club-fitter, I have been able to incorporate what I learned from Jon, regarding my own swing, into my Performance Evaluation at the golf lab.  Since I use TECHNIQUE and TECHNOLOGY to properly fit players to golf equipment, Jon’s system is highly beneficial.  Almost everyone I see has a simple flaw and I can now help them “FREE UP” their swing.  In just a few minutes, players are able to feel and see a new and improved way of setting up to the ball, swinging the club and how the player’s body should move during the swing.  Let’s face it, GOLF IS A SPORT and we must be able to maintain athleticism and FREEDOM throughout the swing.  In my 15 years as a PGA Professional, I haven’t met anyone who is more knowledgeable about the golf swing than Jon Manack, and I am excited about learning more from him in the future."

"I have been playing golf for the past thirty years. I played on the LPGA Tour for six years. I have won the Texas State Amateur five times, and was runner-up of the USGA Mid-Amateur and the Texas Women's Open Champion.

Due to recent injuries, I have been unable to play until I met Jon. His method and technique have helped me to return to the game that I love. His teaching technique is easy to understand and easy to incorporate into my swing.

I believe that Jon is really onto something that not only benefits injured players, but players in general. I believe Jon to be one of the best teachers I have ever been associated with. I am most pleased to have heard about and met Jon!"

"Jon Manack is a player's teacher whose extraordinary golf skills command your immediate respect. Jon's sessions reflect a lifelong study, forged in the heat of competition, providing mechanical and physical conditioning as well as the essential mental insights required to truly transform your golf game. One look at his swing and you understand where you need to go."

"As a long time and avid golfer I have sought out several nationally known instructors to help me improve my golf swing. Jon Manack was the first to focus on improving my basic fundamentals through specific drills designed to alter the improper muscle memory ingrained through years of hitting the ball with poor fundamentals. As a Physical Therapist, I understand and appreciate this approach. It seemed less like a band aid and more like a fundamental (and more appropriate) change that enabled me to not only improve my ball striking but create a simpler swing motion. I have found that many very talented players such as Jon have had a hard time explaining what it is that they do well. Not so with Jon, he breaks your specific improper moves down to your failure to properly perform a few key fundamentals and then works to break your habitual movement patterns and relearn the proper motions and sequence. This approach has made a big difference with my swing and I am most appreciative of Jon's dedication to helping me hit the ball farther and straighter with a fundamentally correct swing motion."

"I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jon. I believe that his teaching technique is certainly valid. It has helped me to have better posture and more consistency with my shots.  His method is uncomplicated and easy to perform.

I have also seen his swing. It has power and fluidity with very little effort. It is because of his revolutionary method that I think this swing can be performed by everyone.  I would highly recommend anyone seeking to improve their game to contact Jon."

"Jon Manack is the best golf instructor I've ever come across in over 20 years of searching. It does not matter if you are a 2 handicap or 20 handicap, the method in which Jon delivers his message is easy to remember and simple to physically absorb. Forget about technical terms and a million swing thoughts. Just listen to what he has to say and watch the way he demonstrates the swing. I've never seen or heard the swing explained in such simple terms."

"Jon arrived with a flawless golf swing and an ability to strike the ball from a variety of set up positions. I can take it a bit further and say that of all the PGA and mini tour players I instruct, Jon's ball striking ability is beyond any I have seen…"

"I just recently started to get interested in the game of golf.   For about the last year and a half I have really been trying hard to improve my game.  I began to work with Jon about the same time that I began playing.  I can tell you this, if you are looking to make dramatic improvements in your game Jon is the key to unlocking your potential.  He explains things so that they are easy to understand and most importantly easy to apply to your situation.  After only a few months of working with Jon my ball striking was more consistent, I was hitting the ball 20-30yds further and my scores were dropping like a rock.  Last July Jon took me to play at Talking Stick G.C. in Arizona.  We played the course from the back tees and I had my lowest round ever at that time. I shot an unbelievable 74.   This may not sound like much, but considering that just four months before this round of golf I was at best a 18 handicap.   If this is the kind of improvement that you are searching for-search no more.  Give Jon an opportunity to work with you and you will be amazed how quick your golf game will improve."

"As a lifelong golf enthusiast, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most respected teachers in the world, some that have worked extensively with the likes of Tiger Woods. And, I can tell you Jon deserves to be in the same elite class of golf instructors. His unique ability to not only demonstrate the correct moves required to efficiently strike a golf ball, but also to communicate those same motions and feelings to his students with targeted, specific drills is outstanding. The combination of sound golf fundamentals and biomechanical aspects Jon relates to his students forms a strong, broad base upon which any golfer can build his or her game."

"I was a 14 handicap and my game had taken a turn for the worse. I had taken lessons from two highly recommended pros in the Palm Springs area with little or no improvement. Jon watched me hit about 9 shots with my nine iron and told me the good news was that my problem, " was not terminal." He very simply improved my set up and back swing and in 30 minutes I was hitting the ball even better than I had been before my problems began. In the next month I missed shooting my age by one stroke (77), had two eagles, and 8 of the 10 scores used to figure my handicap came after my lesson with Jon! I have since referred 3 of my buddies to him and all 3 have improved their games."

"I met Jon Manack this year and for the first time in 45 years of playing golf I feel like I have a repeatable golf swing.  I am making better contact than ever before.  Jon is a personable young man who knows how to communicate his information. He teaches the individual and is aware that different people need slightly different help.  With a few more lessons I expect to hit the ball just like Jon. What magic!"

"Jon Manack was the answer to my golf problems. His demeanor in teaching as well as his knowledge of kinesiology is a joy to behold. I have taken lessons from many pros and as a physical educator I have been impressed by many of them. Jon possesses those qualities that one needs to be a step above the rest.  I have been playing golf for 55 years and it was time to change my swing in order to save my body. Jon not only helped me do this, he added yardage with each club. I was very excited by his lessons. His lessons do not end on the teaching range. He follows up his lessons with an email to reiterate what he taught. This is especially helpful to us older folk who do not remember everything too well."

"When I first started taking lessons from Jon Manack I had practically laid off playing golf for nearly 2 years. After a few miserable rounds Jon gave me a 30 minute lesson. I immediately started striking the ball more solid and on line. He not only told me what I was doing wrong but, unlike most teaching professionals, he showed me how to rectify the problem.  The success was instantaneous. I have since taken about 5-6 lessons from Jon and I continue to improve. Additionally, as I continue to put into practice the techniques Jon has taught me I am once again gaining the distance and direction I had 10 years ago and have shot as low as 68. I would highly recommend Jon Manack to anyone.  Jon is easy to understand and delivers the right advice to you and your swing."

"My golf game was very erratic to say the least...some days I could hit my driver and some days not!! I was very frustrated and really just wanted to quit playing. Thank goodness I met Jon at a demo day at our club in Sun City Shadow Hills.  Right from the beginning I felt comfortable with Jon and his easy swing lessons and suggestions. He was the first instructor who asked me what I was looking at when I addressed the ball. I hated to tell him that I wasn't quite sure what I was looking at or even if I was looking at anything at all!! From the first lesson my ball striking became much more consistent from the driver right through all of my irons. I began to have more confidence and eventually my whole game came together. Before Jon I was shooting in the mid to high nineties but now I can shoot consistently in the low to mid eighties!! I came in second in our club championship and also got my first hole in one this year!! Thanks to you Jon Manack I love the game of golf once again and feel much more confident in my game strategy."

"Finding a truly good golf instructor can be as difficult as making swing changes. I have had some good lessons from some fine instructors over the course of my golf career. I can unequivocally state that Jon Manack is the best that I have ever worked with...

Learning the value of being tension free at address and maintaining that throughout the swing has been the greatest source of information I have ever received in the golf swing. It helps you to deliver extreme club head speed without much effort and allows you to repeat the same motion over and over. A number of people in many areas of life are equipped with knowledge, but can they convey that to others in a simplistic manner so the information not only gets absorbed but becomes implemented into a daily routine? That is the definition of a great instructor in any aspect of life. Fortunately for me, Jon is taking care of that aspect of my life which used to carry such a heavy burden. The golf swing really is not that difficult, we just tend to make it that way. I didn’t say golf was very easy, but learning the golf swing can be."

"I am 60 years old and carry a 6 handicap.  I have known Jon for 2 1/2 years.  During this time he has been extremely helpful in getting me to understand several basics in my swing and of simple conditioning techniques to help my swing.  I have personally observed him assist others (of all levels of handicaps) with their golfing and conditioning needs.  By being able to understand the golf swing from a physiological point and communicate that to all levels of players I consider Jon to be one of the finest instructors I have ever met.  I have less tension in my swing and can drive the ball further as a result of Jon's help. Thanks, Jon."

"
I am 50 years old and have very arthritic knees that have limited my ability to play my best golf. After meeting Jon and having him as my instructor for approximately  9 months he has been able to get me into a more athletic position that has freed up my swing so that not only am I playing with much less pain I have also improved my ball striking considerably. I have increased my distance with my irons approximately one to one and a half club lengths.  The instruction Jon has given me has improved my short game also just because my address position is better and I am able to play with much less tension during the swing process.

I have had the privilege to play quite a few rounds with Jon and I have never played with anyone that strikes the ball as consistently with as much power and accuracy as Jon does.  I have witnessed Jon shoot a round of 61 for eighteen holes and shoot 29 for nine holes.

There are a lot of instructors in the golfing profession but none I have been acquainted with that have the ability to play as well as Jon does but also relay that information to his students in a way that they can understand and apply to their individual swing with optimal improvement.

I am a 9 handicap and improving daily."

"Just a quick note to let you know how impressed and pleased I have been with the lessons you have affectively provided.  The lessons have helped me immensely and my game has greatly improved thanks to you.  I have been so happy with my results that I have referred you to other golfers and will continue to do so.

"After a major traffic accident 15 years ago I thought I would never play golf without pain again.  I have been working with Jon Manack for the past 5 years and not only can I play pain free, with no back or neck strain, but my ball striking has improved dramatically.  My swing is repeatable and void of any tension.

Jon is a clear and concise communicator and has made making changes in my swing simple and effective.  He is extremely attentive and caters the swing to my particular strengths and weakness'.  Now I am back in the low 80's again and hitting the ball further than I ever have.

He teaches by example and has one of the most controlled swings I have ever seen.  With little movement to pull him off track it is nothing for him to hit the ball over 300 yards with his driver.  He is a true example as to what any of us can do.

Thank you, Jon, for getting me back into the 80's."

"
I have been playing golf since I was nine years old, and I am now 63.  I am a single digit handicap, always looking to improve my swing or correct those bad habits that can creep into a swing.  I've had many lessons over the years, included in my instructors have been 3 top 100 teaching professionals. It is with this background that I  am able to give this testimonial.

Jon Manack is without a doubt qualified to be a Top100 Instructor, if you base it on communication skills and knowledge of the golf swing.  Jon finds a way to simplify the golf swing.  He takes what you have and refines it.  He is able to asses the problem areas of your swing and correct them without making you feel like you are starting over.

I have sent many people to Jon and not one has been disappointed.  He is a fine gentleman and great instructor."

"Before I met Jon I was shooting in the low 100's, hacking my way around the golf course. I had received some professional instruction prior to working with Jon but none of it seemed to really stick. Now after only working with Jon for a cumulative of three hours I consistently shoot in the low 90's. Jon's effectiveness as an instructor comes from both his ability to break down the proper swing mechanics in an easy to understand way, but also with his own unique swing style that he tailors to each individual.

It used to be that after a round of golf I would end the day with some sort of lower back pain. However, after receiving instruction from Jon, my game is now pain free and seemingly effortless. As an instructor, Jon is not only concerned with teaching you how to hit the ball consistently, he is interested in educating you on the proper body mechanics in the game of golf. And I, as a future health care professional, have been inspired by Jon's unique swing and how it caters to the physiology of the body. I would recommend anyone who has experienced pain with their golf swing, or if only looking to maximize their particular swing, to seek the professional guidance of Jon Manack."

"Lost in fact, fiction, myth and cliché about the mechanics of the golf swing, natural athletic movements can become buried under this proverbial mountain of information. Jon's approach to the game of golf appeals to common sense. His ability to simplify and communicate the complexities of a golf swing demonstrate his considerable skill and understanding. Jon has well trained eye from a lifetime of being involved with golf and golf instruction that gets right to fundamental causes and effects. The results, that are often spontaneous and immediate, promote a golf swing that is less complicated, less effort, likely less injury, less stress, and tons more fun! "Less" is definitely more."

"After my first lesson with Jon on the driving range, I knew he was the right teacher for me. The most significant reason was that he got me back to being myself rather than trying to emulate certain moves of various PGA tour pros. I had lots of tension at address and couldn't swing my arms with any freedom. This was due to being taught what I now realize was a "one-way approach." Jon on the other hand understands different body types and therefore teaches swing mechanics based on each individual's strengths and weaknesses. I'm now swinging the club with much less tension and a lot more efficiency.

"As a newly hired high school golf coach, I have studied the golf swing, and taken lessons from highly esteemed instructors to better my own game and to learn how to help my players. After just a couple of sessions with Jon Manack I have a far better understanding of the cause and effect of my own swing flaws than ever before. He has improved my ball striking ability tremendously giving me more confidence on the course and in demonstrating various golf shots to my players. I also feel more equipped to talk to them and to their swing coaches about their games. I am a 10 handicapper who never felt I belonged there except for a couple of fluke rounds, but after only those two sessions with Jon, I recently completed the 12th hole at my home course at two over par when we were stopped by weather. With Jon’s teaching, I am now shooting rounds more consistent with my handicap index and believe that it will begin to go down from there.

Jon’s extraordinary ability to strike a golf ball and then patiently and passionately explain how to do it with minimal stress on the body combined with his success as a player and competitor makes him a gift to golfers of every level. "

"This letter expresses my deep appreciation for the lessons you provided at Legendary Oaks here in Hempstead, Texas.  Your approach to teaching the game has the potential of revolutionizing the way golfers learn.  Your integration of the physical, mental and technical aspects of teaching and learning golf is superb.

Hopefully you will consider publishing your techniques soon.  I have moved from a 32 handicap to a 26 handicap and have not shot above 93 since your lesson.  You have laid the foundation for me to progress in improving my swing and my enjoyment of the game.  Thank you."

"My wife Ruth and I have been golfing for about 5 years.  We worked with several well regarded instructors and where hitting balls at the driving range or playing golf 5 to 6 days a week.  After two years my handicap was 22+ and Ruth’s was 27.  We were very discouraged.

A year ago, we met with Jon and told him that we needed to reduce our handicaps by 50%.  Jon had seen us working on the driving range and knew that we would invest the time required.  He accepted the challenge.

The information that Jon imparts is based on his clear knowledge of the physics of the golf swing and the human body’s natural ranges of motion.  Since Ruth is a “visual” learner and I am a "feel” athlete, Jon showed his versatility by using very different approaches in his teaching process.  He worked with we on drills to correct my slice (steep outside in swing path) to an inside out path the results in great ball compression, eliminate right shoulder push and left foot spinout, and create a repeatable tempo.   For Ruth the challenge was to correct her club takeaway to get the club into the correct position at the top and to maintain the athletic posture during the entire swing. (Jon really emphasis the importance of the setup in his teaching.)

Jon Manack is also a great ball sticker.  This is a real benefit when you are working on specific shots that he will demonstrate.  For short game wedges and bunker shots, a good demonstration of the setup, swing and results really simplifies the learning process

Jon is very good at communicating his information in a manner that varies for each individual.  Many of our golfing friends (high and low handicap amateurs and professional golfers), after seeing our improvement, are now working with Jon and benefiting from his information and techniques.

The 50% challenge!  After one year.  My 22+ is now 8.5 trending to 8.0 and I am working with Jon to gain some addition distance and consistency to get under 5.  Ruth’s 27 is now 14 trending to 13.4.  She and Jon are making progress on putting and mid game.  She will have a single digit handicap in the near future."

“Perhaps the greatest challenge for a golf instructor is to teach a “senior citizen” with average athletic ability and modest natural talent to play an acceptable and steadily improving golf game.

With great sincerity and effort I had tried to accomplish this goal and aided by golf magazines, books and yes, personal instructions.  All these avenues created mostly more confusion and had it not been for the basic love of the game, frustration and resignation had continued to diminish the joy of the game.

That is until I met Jon Manack.  True to my analytical nature I first interviewed a friend and then watched Jon give a lesson to this young talented man.  What I saw and heard appealed to me.

Consequently I booked an ongoing series of lessons.  Today I strike the ball much better than I ever did, in fact all phases of my game have improved more than they ever did before.

Like a solid structure Jon builds up the golfing progress of his students brick upon brick.  He is an excellent communicator with infinite patience.  It is obvious that he loves to teach and is passionate about his profession.    Jon also has intimate knowledge about the body’s anatomy.  His method practically eliminates the stress and unnatural wear and tear on the skeletal and muscular body structure by creating modified movements which actually enhance all phases of the golf swing.  That fact alone will empower golfers of all ages to enjoy our game for many years without pain.

Jon is the proverbial instructor of the future.”
